PD MAPPING

Partial discharge mapping
Tactic has been used to tracing the possibility for the underground cable to break. This new tactic has been introduced for better maintenance for cable. This kind of tactic has reduced breakdown near 50 %.

Procedure
1. Off switch gear
2. measure resistance using meager
3. detect joint using TDR ( time domain reflector meter )
4. detect signal using calibrator
5. check sparkling with inject high voltage
6. OWTF ( Oscillating wave test system )
7. on switch gear.

  1. "Hey! Partial discharge mapping sounds like a game-changer for underground cable maintenance. I've heard the Fluke ii910 Precision Acoustic Imager is fantastic for detecting these issues early. Has anyone tried it with this new tactic? Would love to hear your experiences!"
